Clark, N.J., Dec. 13, 2021 – GEP®, a leading provider of procurement and supply chain strategy, software and managed services to Fortune 500 and Global 2000 enterprises worldwide, announced that Tesco PLC — the UK’s largest grocery retailer — selected, rolled out and started using GEP SOFTWARE™, the industry’s leading procurement and supply chain platform, across its entire UK and Ireland grocery store network.
GEP SMART™ purchase-to-pay (PTP) software solution is now being used in all of Tesco’s UK and Ireland stores for all consumables purchasing, which is crucial for the smooth operation of its grocery stores. Tesco is using GEP SMART to manage its PTP process, including requisitioning, ordering, supplier ASN and invoice functions for goods and services not for resale. To meet the accelerated implementation timeline, a combined team of Tesco and GEP worked together fully remotely to go live in a short timeframe, migrating some seven million purchase orders and invoices in the process. This rollout of PTP in 2021 follows the success of the source-to-contract (STC) implementation across Central Europe and Asia, which was completed in 2020.
GEP SMART is a unified, cloud-native source-to-pay platform, built on a data-centric foundation with AI at its core and user-first design.
