GEP, a leading provider of procurement services and technology, has been named a Star Performer by Everest Group, a research and advisory firm, in their newly released study of procurement outsourcing providers: The 2011 PEAK Matrix for Procurement Outsourcing.
“The talent, expertise and passion that GEP experts bring to every procurement outsourcing engagement is why we’ve been able to develop such demonstrably strong and successful client relationships,” said Subhash Makhija, CEO of GEP. “This fierce cultural commitment to invest ourselves entirely in our client’s success drives continued investment in our solutions,” he added.
Everest Group issues this report annually, measuring procurement service providers on its proprietary Performance, Experience, Ability and Knowledge (PEAK) Matrix. Everest Group designates the “Star Performers” title to providers that demonstrate the strongest forward movement over time on the PEAK Matrix. To assess advancements on market success, Everest Group evaluates the performance across a number of parameters including, yearly Average Contract Value growth, number of new contracts signed, number of contract extensions, and value of new contract signings. Advancements on capability are evaluated across parameters including, annual growth in scale, increase in scope of services, expansion of delivery footprint, and technology/domain specific investments.
GEP was identified as a star performer based on its strong forward movement in the procurement services sector, according to the Everest Group PEAK Matrix.
“Competitive intensity is increasing among the major contenders. Whether buyers are focused on the end-to-end Source to Pay (S2P) or the sourcing and category management (S2C), it is critical to be able to evaluate the claims and the credibility of competing offerings. GEP was a top-quartile performer across market success and capability parameters and we are pleased to recognize them as Procurement Outsourcing Star Performer,” noted Saurabh Gupta, Vice President, Everest Group.
