Sathyan brings an extensive 18-year tenure to his role as vice president of engineering at GEP, starting his journey as a software engineer.
He has played a pivotal role in leading software engineering teams working on architecture, cloud, data and site reliability engineering, contributing significantly to GEP's evolution into a multi-cloud and data-driven organization.
Currently, Sathyan leads the AI-first, low-code GEP QUANTUM platform. He is responsible for selecting appropriate technologies and designing scalable architectures, enhancing innovation and speed, and delivering software products that surpass customer expectations. His focus on platform engineering, coupled with an emphasis on cybersecurity and data compliance, ensures GEP remains a leader in technological advancement while protecting customer data.
Sathyan has earned a degree in computer science and engineering. He resides in Scotch Plains, New Jersey, with his wife, Rajalakshmi, and their two children. Outside of work, Sathyan enjoys playing tennis, traveling and reading.
