From Engineering to Empowerment
Caitlin’s path began in mechanical engineering, armed with a master’s degree and a passion for problem-solving. But she quickly discovered that the traditional engineering route didn’t fully align with her values or career aspirations. “The work was isolating, and it wasn’t giving me the kind of fulfillment I was seeking,” Caitlin reflects.
A conversation with a friend in an MBA program introduced her to the concepts of sustainability, change management, and teamwork—elements that resonated far more than her coding and lab work. Inspired by this new direction, Caitlin took a bold step and pursued an MBA herself, setting her on a journey that would eventually lead her to GEP.
The Pivot
Her pivot brought Caitlin to GEP, where she found the perfect blend of her engineering expertise and newfound business acumen. Starting on the consulting side of GEP, she soon transitioned to technology services, bridging the gap between clients and engineers with ease. Caitlin’s unique background empowered her to communicate complex technical information in a way that made sense to clients, a skill that quickly made her an indispensable part of the team.
Milestones and Mentorship
In her 2.5 years at GEP, Caitlin has reached several key milestones. She transitioned from consulting into a pivotal role in the software side, overseeing projects from the ground up and helping clients maximize the value of GEP’s tools. Her recent promotion to Customer Success Manager underscores her growth, where she’s now focused on fostering client relationships and driving long-term success.
Caitlin attributes much of her success to the mentorship she’s received at GEP. “GEP’s commitment to placing people in roles that truly suit their skills has been invaluable,” she shares. Her mentors have not only recognized her strengths but provided the guidance needed to make each career transition a success.

As a dedicated member and pillar lead of Women at GEP, Caitlin is passionate about fostering a supportive community for women at the company. Through regular pillar meetings, she values the chance to connect, share experiences, and discuss essential topics. “It’s more than just professional support,” Caitlin says. “It’s a sense of belonging and empowerment.” Caitlin’s journey is a testament to GEP’s dedication to nurturing talent and promoting gender diversity.
