GEP EARTH

GEP EARTH is our pioneering initiative to foster meaningful connections and drive positive change at events. More than just a program, it's our commitment to fostering a sustainable future. We believe in the power of business to drive positive change, and GEP EARTH is our platform to make a tangible impact.

How GEP EARTH Works

Instead of traditional giveaways, we invite you to join us in a conversation about your business needs. For every conversation, we commit to making a charitable donation to support our ESG-focused partners, WeForest and The Ocean Foundation.

WeForest: Restoring Our Forests

Known for scalable reforestation projects, WeForest not only restores degraded areas but also promotes income-generating activities for surrounding communities through locally-led reforestation projects.

GEP is directly partnering with WeForest on a community-led reforestation initiative to restore and protect Malawi’s Mount Mulanje Biosphere Reserve. The project is engaging local families and communities to strengthen governance, reduce pressure on forest resources and conserve the forest and its biodiversity across 26,160 acres in southwest Malawi.

By restoring two types of forests, the montane forests, home to the endemic Mulanje cedar and the Mulanje chameleon, and the surrounding miombo woodland with its incredible biodiversity, the project will create alternative sources of sustainable income for the thousands of people living around the reserve.

GEP EARTH: CLIMATE CHANGE

The Ocean Foundation: Protecting Our Oceans

As the sole community foundation for the ocean, The Ocean Foundation is dedicated to enhancing global ocean health and climate resilience.

Their Blue Resilience Initiative supports coastal community resilience by restoring and conserving coastal habitats like seagrasses, mangroves, coral reefs, seaweeds and salt marshes. By doing so, the project will not only decrease the pressures on coastal environments but also improve local food security through the use of regenerative agriculture practices using seaweed-based compost.

The Ocean Foundation takes a “ridge-to-reef” approach, recognizing the interconnections and synergies between habitats to attain greater impact for plants, animals and communities than would otherwise be possible. Their focus on areas near human communities translates to a more vibrant, local, and sustainable blue economy.
